John Resnick is a founder of The Resnick Group, LLC of Naples, Florida and Central Pennsylvania.
He has extensive knowledge and expertise in providing estate tax reduction strategies and life insurance guidance for high net worth families, family offices, executives, and privately-held business owners. Some of John’s clients are recognized among the most successful families and business leaders in the world. John is frequently requested by other professionals to assist with joint case work, and has served as expert witness in class action lawsuits involving improper sales of life insurance products for major U.S. law firms on behalf of their clients.
A former adjunct professor, John has lectured at schools and universities, including The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. He has co-presented Wharton programs with Steve Forbes, Jon Huntsman, Sr, Prof. Jeremy Siegel, Wharton School Dean Patrick Harker, Jon Huntsman, Jr., and Prof. Stuart Diamond.
John has also lectured at Florida State University’s College of Business, Bucknell University, and Penn State Dickinson School of Law.
John is co-author of the American Bar Association’s 2018 national reference book “Due Diligence of Trust Owned Life Insurance”, a guide for estate planning attorneys, family offices, and professionals. His continuing education classes have been attended by over 2,000 attorneys and CPAs.
John is a contributor on life insurance to The Wall Street Journal, and other articles have appeared in Forbes, Journal of Practical Estate Planning, The Wharton Magazine, and Family Business Magazine.
John and Billie Resnick are co-creators of the nationally syndicated radio program, Legends of Success with John Resnick . The show includes John’s rare one-hour interviews with America's top CEO's, members of The Forbes 400, and entertainment icons, including Steve Forbes of Forbes Media, Evelyn Lauder of The Estee Lauder Companies, Jack Welch of General Electric, Dick Yuengling of D. G. Legends of Success debuted on January 12, 2002, on a single station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and is now syndicated on 77 radio stations in the United States. The show’s objective is to share the personal journeys of how America's most successful business icons overcame obstacles and setbacks to make it to the top. Mr. Resnick strongly believes that it is vital to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of our students and young people by providing them with astute role models who have accomplished the dreams to which these new entrepreneurs aspire.
John and his wife, Billie have been organizers of charitable and educational events, including Legends Live event with Steve Forbes of Forbes media and Dr. Patrick T. Harker, Dean of the Wharton School. The sold-out event paid special tribute to The Vista School of Central Pennsylvania, an organization assisting young children with autism.
John and Billie assisted students at The Wharton School in organizing The Wharton Entrepreneurship Conference in Philadelphia, where John participated on a leadership panel with Steve Forbes and Jon Huntsman, Jr.
In March 2019, John, Billie, and Tom Monaghan, the founder of Domino’s Pizza co-hosted Steve Forbes in Naples, Florida as the 2019 Ave Maria School of Law’s Signature “Profiles in Ethical Leadership” Speaker. The event was held to support scholarships for veterans and deserving students attending Ave Maria School of Law. Tom Monaghan is founder of the school.
John, his wife, Billie, and two sons reside in Naples, FL and Central PA.
